For those who love heavier strategy games, the As d'Or—Expert award went to Kutná Hora, designed by Ondřej Bystron, Pavel Jarosch, and Petr Čáslava and published by Czech Games Edition (CGE). Set in a medieval silver mining town, Kutná Hora challenges players with economic strategy, resource management, and city-building mechanics—all wrapped in a stunning historical theme.

We have to admit—we were rooting for Harmonies to win the Intermediate category. Its beautiful tile-laying mechanics and stunning art made it a favorite among many, including our community here at Gaming Library. Though it didn’t take home the award, we’re still incredibly proud of this fantastic game.
That said, the Intermediate winner, Behind, has piqued our curiosity! This mysterious and intriguing deduction game is now at the top of our must-try list, and we’re eager to see what makes it stand out.
