Congratulations to the Unmatched Philippines community admin and returning champion, Taj Lagulao, for claiming the crown at the Unmatched Philippine Nationals, with Robert taking a well-earned 2nd place finish. 🏆

Taj, piloting Elektra, deftly maneuvered past Bullseye’s relentless attacks, expertly handled by Robert. Bullseye’s strength lies in his long-range strikes, covering most of the map, with the goal of landing multiple hits per turn—ideally winning at least one combat. But Taj flipped the script. Rather than taking the usual route of retreating and strategically deploying Hand Ninjas to build a discard pile, Taj embraced an aggressive playstyle, throwing Robert off balance and leading Elektra to victory.

Taj will now compete and represent the country in the Unmatched Tournament on Nov 2-3 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Trivia:

- Taj was also the Unmatched Champion from last year's All Aboard EXPO

- Taj was also top in the Unmatched League earlier this year.

- Taj is also the admin of Unmatched Philippines, and have been very active in doing recaps for tournaments and meta updates.

Let’s give a shout-out to the winners of the Unmatched Play-Ins, held on October 19, just a day before the Unmatched PH Nationals. These bold contenders gave it their all, battling for a final spot in the Nationals. While they didn’t quite break through to the semifinals, their performance showed that it’s not just about winning—it’s about the passion and love for the game that truly stands out.
